The Honda motorcycle known as "the Cub" has become the motorcycle equivalent of the Volkswagen Beetle! Look down your nose at the humble scooter if you must, but the most prolific motorized two-wheeler ( is it a motorcycle? Is it a scooter?) just hit the 60 million mark-- and looking at the sales so far this year which stand at close to 5 million, the Honda Cub shows no signs of slowing down, at least in the sales department. This is one motorcycle that hasnt been a slave to fashion; Honda have been producing basically the same Cub design since the late 1950's. The Cub is currently rollong off production lines in 15 countries. In 2007, it bowed to the inevitable march of progress and started producing models with, wait for it ..fuel injection! Its a hardy little beast as well; do the search on you tube for Honda Cub to see the Long way rounder trying to trash a Honda Cub with very limited success I might add!.
